Parkway School PTA Committees

4th Grade Activities
Chair:   Georgia Psarros
Description:  

Responsible for planning and executing all activities related to the 4th grade such as Hall of Horrors, and End of Year Party. Additional volunteers are needed to run each event. 

 
Box Top Program
Chair:   Laura Kursar
Description:  

Chairperson will coordinate the collection of box tops with students and organize incentive programs throughout the year to maximize profits for the school.

 
Class Parents
Chair:   Debbie Cacciato
Description:  

Responsible for selecting class parent volunteers, advising class parents of their responsibilities and accountabilities, and ensuring that all duties are performed, especially with regard to any emergency contacts needed due to school closings and/or emergencies. No class parents are needed for 4th Grade.

 
Cultural Events
Chair:   Madiha Raziuddin
Description:  

Responsible to attend various cultural showcases to determine a selection of choices for programs to bring to Parkway including but not limted to author visits. Cultural events are fun and educational for our students and are pertinent to the current curriculum.

 
Holiday Boutique
Chair:   OPEN
Description:  

Responsible for organizing, set-up, and scheduling volunteers. Also need to work with the vendor and to get the initial merchandise and all additional inventory needs. Additional parents are needed to help set-up and assist students with their shopping lists.

 
Hospitality
Chair:   OPEN-Chair Positions, Volunteers needed for committee
Description:  

Responsible for hosting several special events such as Teacher's Welcome Back Lunch, Trunk or Treat Food Sales and Teacher Appreciation Week Luncheon. Responsibiliteis include ordering or shopping for food & beverages, purchasing paper products, and set-up/clean-up up the day of the event. (please note: keep all receipts for reimbursement from our Treasurer)

 
Ice Cream Event Distribution
Chair:   Debbie Cacciato
Description:  

Responsible for collecting student choices, ordering ice cream selections,  and maintaining inventory.

 
Library Liasion
Chair:   Erin Law
Description:  

Work with the Media Specialist as needed throughout the school year. Manage and create the parent volunteer calendar. 

 
Pocketbook Bingo 2020
Chair:   Tami Pantiliano, Kristina Malanga, Melissa Teger
Description:  

Pocketbook Bingo 2020

 
PTA Directory
Chair:   Christine Reindl and Kris Hodson
Description:  

Manages the printing and distribution of the PTA Directory.

 
PTA Membership
Chair:   Kris Hodson
Description:  

Responsible for maintaining the membership of the PTA.

 
Scholarship
Chair:   Erin Law
Description:  

Attend monthly meetings at the BOE office and report information back to the school during PTA Meeting. Chairperson DOES NOT have to perform in the High School Scholarship Show.

 
School Apparel
Chair:   Hellen Kapp and Tatina Nunez
Description:  

Responsible for the ordering, sales, distribution and maintenance of inventory for all school apparel and related items.

 
School Directory
Chair:   Christine Reindl and Kris Hodson
Description:  

Responsible for coordination & excecution of paper and/or school directory.

 
SupportACircle Book Fundraiser
Chair:   4th Grade Committee
Description:  

Responsible for distributing Suport A Circle Coupon Books to student body and then account for all returned and/or purchased books.

 
Tool Box-School Supplies
Chair:   Melissa Teger
Description:  

Get school supply lists and work with Tool Box Company to order next years school supplies for interested Parkway families.

 
Trunk or Treat
Chair:   Melissa Teger, Kristina Malanga
Description:  

Responsible for the Trunk or Treat event. This is a new event for Parkway parents and students. Planning for this event begins in July and we estimate to need over 100 parent volunteers to decorate their trunks and have lots of treats for the kids to ensure a fun and successful event.

Description:  

Responsible for maintaining the website and distribution of the PTA Directory.
